Our Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who are interested in making the most out of the club each season. From party planning, to pool maintenance, there's something for everyone on the board. Here's what you need to know:

How can I get on the Board of Directors for Oak Grove Swim Club?
If you are interested in joining the board, we hold an annual meeting to determine what positions will be open for the coming year. Members are encouraged to attend and learn more about each position. An email will also be sent to the membership asking for volunteers to serve on the board before the beginning of each new year.

How many directors are there for OGSC?
There are four director positions on the board: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer

What positions are on the board?
The remainder of the board is made up of the following positions: Membership, Pool, Grounds, Lifeguards, and Social.

How many hours are required for each board member/month?
It depends on the position, some positions require more day-to-day operations – such as Pool, Grounds, and Lifeguards. For the remaining positions, it can range anywhere from 5 hours per month on up.

How many years do each of the Directors serve?
The term for each Director is one year. Directors may serve in another position on the board but not the same position for consecutive years.

Can a director serve multiple years in the same position?
The directors cannot serve 2 consecutive terms in the same position, although they are allowed to serve in the same position after at least one year’s respite.

Can a director serve more than 2 years on the board?
Yes. A director may serve more than two years, just not 2 years in a row in the same position.
